Who we are

TCMHH (Traditional Chinese Medicine Healing Herbs) publishes general health education about Chinese medicine at www.tcmhh.com. For anything in this policy, contact [email protected].

What this policy covers

This policy explains what data is collected when you visit or use this site, why, and what you can do about it. It does not cover other websites you reach by following a link from here.

What we collect

  • Server and security logs. Like almost every website, our server and our CDN record each request: IP address, time, the page requested, the browser or crawler user-agent and the referring address. We use these to keep the site running, to block abuse and to understand which pages search engines and AI assistants fetch. Legal basis: legitimate interests (security and operating the site).
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people read which pages, and where they arrive from. It sets cookies (for example _ga) and records your approximate location, device, browser and the pages you view. We have IP anonymisation switched on. Legal basis: consent where required by law, otherwise legitimate interests.
  • Advertising. This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, including personalised ads where you have consented, and to measure them. Legal basis: consent where required.
  • Messages you send us. If you use our question form, we receive the name, optional phone number, optional email address and the question text you type. We use this to reply and, if the question is broadly useful and you agree, to publish it as an article with identifying details removed. Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in answering readers.
  • Third-party statistics script. The site also loads a 51.la visitor counter, which records aggregate visit statistics.

We do not sell personal data, we do not build advertising profiles of our own, and we do not require an account to read anything here.

Cookies

Cookies are set by third-party services we embed rather than by us directly:

  • Google Analytics 4 – measurement (_ga, _ga_*).
  • Google AdSense / DoubleClick – advertising and ad measurement.
  • Cloudflare – security and performance (__cf_bm, cf_clearance).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. Where the law requires consent for analytics and advertising cookies, we ask for it, and no such cookies are set before you agree.

Who else processes the data

Some of these providers are based outside your country, including in the United States, and process data there.

How long we keep it

Server logs are rotated and kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics retention settings. Messages you send us are kept while we may still need to reply to them, and are deleted on request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion, and we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Medical content

This policy is about data. For the limits of the health content itself, see our medical disclaimer and editorial policy.

If this policy changes we will update the date below and, if the change is significant, note it on the homepage.
