Cheng Fu (Chengfu)
Location
On the posterior aspect of the thigh, at the midpoint of the transverse gluteal crease, in a depression between the hamstring muscles.
Needling
- Straight insertion, 2 to 3 cun, causing local distention and soreness or an electric numb sensation extending down the leg.
- Perpendicular insertion, 1 to 2 cun.
- Puncture perpendicularly, 1 to 1.5 cun.
- Moxibustion is applicable.

- Alleviates pain
- Regulates the Lower Jiao
- Treats hemorrhoids
Indications
- Lumbar pain
- Pain of the sacrum and coccyx
- Pain of the buttock
- Sciatica
- Bi and wei syndromes of the lower limb
- Chronic hemorrhoids
- Bleeding hemorrhoids
- Retention of urine
- Constipation
- Numbness and motor impairment of the lower extremities
- Difficult defecation
- Difficult urination
- Genital pain
- Seminal emission
- Cold in the uterus
- Swelling of the axilla
- Low back pain
- Paralysis of the lower extremity
- Swelling of the coccyx
- Anal, coccygeal, gluteal, lower back or genital pain and inflammation
