Property
Sweet, warm; liver and kidney meridians entered.
Actions
Activate blood and regulate menstruation, resolve swelling and remove toxicity.
Indications
Traumatic injury, sores and boils, dysmenorrhea, abnormal menstruation, pain due to blood stasis.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 3~6 g (9~15 g of the fresh product), or soaked in boiling water. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.
Cautions
It is contraindicated for deficiency-cold in spleen and stomach and pregnant women. It shouldn’t be taken for a long time.
