Da Zhong (Dazhong)
Location
0.5 cun directly inferior to KI-3 Taixi, on the medial border of the tendocalcaneus, in the depression anterior to the medial side of the attachment of the Achilles tendon. Note: first locate KI-5 Shuiquan, 1 cun directly inferior to KI-3 Taixi, then locate KI-4 Dazhong halfway between these two points.
Needling
- Slanted insertion, 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
- Puncture perpendicularly, 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
- Moxibustion is applicable.

Contraindications
This point is forbidden after the second month of pregnancy.
Notes
Called the smiling sympathy point. It is important for sight and helps relieve the psychological blockage of someone who does not want to see. It regulates and reinforces the relationship between the Kidneys and the Lungs, and has a strong effect on stabilizing the emotions.
