Needling

  • Perpendicular insertion, 0.1 cun.
  • Prick to bleed.
  • Moxibustion is applicable (3-5 cones).

Actions

  • Clears heat
  • Dissipates swelling
  • Benefits the eyes and throat

Indications

  • Redness, swelling and pain of the eyes
  • Superficial visual obstruction
  • Nebula
  • One-sided headache
  • Pain and swelling of the throat
  • Mumps
  • High fever

Notes

For superficial visual obstruction, use five cones of moxa.
