The drug is the dried entire herb of Haplocladium capillatum (Mitt.) Reims. (family Thuidiaceae), growing on wet rocks, soils or decayed logs under woods, and distributed in Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Hubei Jiangsu and Zhejiang of China.

Actions
It is used to remove toxic heat; for the treatment of various inflammation,urethritis, mastitis, furuncle, upper respiratory infection, urocystitis, tympanitis, annexitis, acute tonsillitis, erysipelas, pneumonia, etc.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 12~15 g.
