Jujube FAQ: The Questions People Actually Ask
A short page on purpose: the questions people actually type about jujube, answered without padding. Follow the links for the long versions.
What does TCM use jujube for?
Classically, it builds blood and qi for pale face and fatigue.
How do I take it at home?
3 to 6 dates simmered in congee or soup, pits removed, or steeped in tea.
Who should not take it?
In traditional terms: sweet and cloying; moderate with damp phlegm, bloating and blood sugar concerns. In modern terms: pregnant or nursing women, anyone on regular medication, and people with chronic conditions should ask a professional first.
Consistency beats dose. A modest amount taken regularly usually does more than a heroic amount taken twice.
