Shang Ba Feng: TCM Acupoint Guide
Name
Shang Ba Feng (Shangbafeng)
Location
Posterior to the metatarsophalangeal joints of the foot, between all of the metatarsal bones.
Needling
Straight insertion, 0.5 to 1 cun. Sensation: local distention and soreness, possibly extending to the tips of the toes.
Indications
Malarial disorders, peripheral neuritis, snake bite, headache, toothache, stomach ache, lower leg swelling and lack of circulation, gangrene of the lower leg and foot, leg qi, redness, pain and swelling of the dorsum of the foot, foot and toe disorders, arthritis of the leg and foot, paralysis of the leg and foot, numbness of the leg and foot, muscular spasms of the leg and foot, joint problems of the leg and foot, beriberi, toe pain, swelling of the dorsum of the foot, irregular menstruation, chronic atrophy (wei) syndrome of the feet.
