Located 1 cun within the hairline on the midline of the head.
 On the midline of the head, 1 cun behind the natural hairline at the forehead.
At the top of the head on the midline , 1 cun posterior to the anterior hairline and 0.5 cun posterior to DU-24 Shenting.
Note: If the anterior hairline is indistinct, locate the point 3 cun superior to the glabella and 3 cun anterior to DU-20 Baihui.
NEEDLING
Slanted insertion, 0.5 to 1 cun. Sensation: local distention and pain.
Transverse insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
Puncture subcutaneously 0.3 to 0.5 cun or prick to cause bleeding.
 Moxibustion is applicable.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Older books caution against using moxibustion on this point. this point is prohibited in infants wit metopism.
NOTES
It is said that excess moxibustion on this point will raise the Yang and lead to lack of clarity of vision.
