The drug is the dried entire herb of Pentasacme championii Benth. (family Asclepiadaceae), growing in hills, open forests or near streams or in crevices of cliff, and distributed in Hunan, Guangdong,Hainan, Guangxi, Yunnan of China.

Actions
Dispel wind and clear heat, remove toxicity and resolve swelling.
Indications
Sore throat, cough, hepatitis, snake bites, acute conjunctivitis, common cold caused by wind-heat.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 9~15 g.
