Luo Zhen (Luozhen)

Location

Approximately 0.5 cun proximal to and between the metacarpophalangeal joints of the 2nd and 3rd metacarpal bones on the back of the hand.

Needling

Straight or slanted insertion, 0.5-1 cun, causing local distention, pain and soreness and sometimes numbness extending to the fingertips.

  • Stiff neck
  • Migraine headache
  • Stomach ache
  • Sore throat
  • Shoulder and arm pain
