Ying Chuang: TCM Acupoint Guide

Name
Ying Chuang (Yingchuang)
Location
On the chest, in the third intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the midline, level with REN-18 Yutang, on the mammillary line. Note: in males, the nipple lies in the fourth intercostal space.
Needling
- Transverse-oblique insertion laterally or medially along the intercostal space, 0.5 to 0.8 cun.
- Transverse insertion superiorly along the channel.
- Caution: deep or perpendicular insertion carries a substantial risk of puncturing the lung.
- Puncture obliquely, 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
- Moxibustion is applicable.

Notes
It is best to use on women in the sitting position. It is used for people who lack sympathy.
